Available Dogs

Below are just a few of the Siberians in our program who are looking for loving homes. Not all of the dogs make it onto the site because they are matched before that. Click on a dog's name or picture for a full description and larger photo. If you are interested in adopting any of these dogs, please fill out an Adoption Application.

Shelter Cross-Listings

Nova is the sweetest girl on the planet.  She desperately needs an adopter as sweet and generous as she is.  Nova's ideal day would include sitting by her new person for much of the day, maybe someone who drives for work?  Or works from home?  Or loves to binge-watch shows?  Nova also needs a lot of veterinary care, she has a mysterious problem with 3 of her 4 feet.  Initially, vets thought her limping front foot had been in a crush accident, but now think it is part of a defect affecting 2 other feet.  She was found dumped in a parking lot, very under weight.  She is currently staying at the ACO in Old Saybrook.    They do not have funds for the surgery she may need, but she has won over so many hearts while there.  Nothing is known about her past, but so far she has met a cat through a kennel door, sniffed it and ignored it. She met the ACO's dog, but was very scared of him - he is very, very large and intimidating looking. The ACO believes she would be fine with older kids, she does jump, but they are working on that. She has not shown any signs of aggression, she is just pure sweetness and loves attention.

This is a cross-post, PSHR does hot have the full details. See contact info below. However PSHR would contribute towards her spay.

Hi I am Chloe!  I am cross-post, currently at the ACO in Ludlow MA.  I am 10 months old.

My life, ugh...  I joined a young family that I loved, but they just did not understand my needs, they let me out and I got hit by a car.  They could not afford to save me, but the nice Veterinary practice they took me to said YES I was worth saving!! They paid to fix me up!!!  But the deal is, I cannot go back to my first family.  Hopefully there is a family out there that will understand me, help me grow into a good girl, AND keep me safe and healthy.  I am FULL of love, everyone says I am very sweet.  A little crazy, but really, I am a PUPPY still!!!  I will love working with you, training to learn all the good dog things.  I am all healed up from my car accident.  I am good with other dogs, GOOD WITH CATS!  I was even raised with chickens, they don't ruffle my feathers at all.  What's not to love!!!  Please follow the info below to learn more about me.  I really need to be adopted soon, I am not even in a shelter, but only at an ACO office.  Please adopt me soon, we can plan my first birthday party together!

Chloe is a cross-post - not with PSHR.  PSHR will help with the cost of spaying her for her new owners.

Meet Timber! Timber is about 2 years old, 80 lbs, and he is a Husky! In his foster home, he is working hard on with his house-training, crate- training and leash-walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+, and other dogs. He will need a cat-free home. He was heartworm positive but has completed treatment and is now ready for adoption! His foster says, "This gentle giant is really a Show stopper! Be prepared for strangers to stop you on the street to comment on his impressive good looks! He has had a pretty rough start to life, but despite it all is still a loving, playful, gentle companion for the right family. His main motivation is food. He has been to a highly ranked dog trainer for evaluation and some basic skills training and learned extremely quickly. He loves to play fetch and tug. Car rides and long walks are some of his favorite things. He has been great with every dog he has been around with the proper introductions of course. I am not kidding when I say this is a very special dog. His potential is unlimited!" He is available for adoption in Hopkinton, MA by appointment with an approved adopter. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step. -Puppies may not be given as gifts or surprises. -Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a puppy BEFORE applying to adopt. - More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Charlotte is one of the most unique looking huskies we have seen at UVHS. She is a beautiful girl who needs a home where she can learn to come out of her shell. Charlotte would do best with a calm, confident dog who can show her the ropes. She absolutely loves playing in a fenced in yard with her doggy playmates. New things are quite scary for her, so Charlotte needs a patient owner who can show her how fun being a dog really can be! It will take time, patience, training, and a whole lotta love, but she will reward her family with unconditional love and loyalty in return! Call us today if you think you have what Charlotte needs!

Charlotte's adoption fee is just $150 in April!

Riley - meetup Pending

Have you seen a more beautiful girl?  Of course not!  I am so beautiful as I am probably mixed with Malamute.  I am a super good girl but my situation is not one that I can stay in. My Mom took me in because I had no other place to go but she works a lot and I am not getting the attention and exercise that I need.  I think I am about 4 years old.  I am spayed and up to date with all my shots.  I am currently in Brockton MA.  I get along with kids, other dogs, and people. I love my car rides and of course my walks!  If you are looking for a model house dog who loves adventures…I am your girl!

Please note that Riley is not with PSHR.  To inquire about Riley please email [email protected].

This handsome young man was surrendered to the shelter when his owner experienced health issues.  At just 2 years old, Toby still acts like a puppy and is very entertaining!  Typical of a Husky, he is vocal and happy to share his every thought with you.  Toby can happily entertain himself but would enjoy a fence-in yard to stretch his legs and throw his ball around.  He would likely do well in a family with children, but he seems like he wants to be a solo, so no other dogs, cats or small animals please!  Preference will be given to applicants with Husky experience.

Toby is not with PSHR.   Please visit his link at: http://www.mansfieldshelter.org/ADOPTING/DOGS_PAGE_1/dogs_page_1.html
