Available Dogs

Below are just a few of the Siberians in our program who are looking for loving homes. Not all of the dogs make it onto the site because they are matched before that. Click on a dog's name or picture for a full description and larger photo. If you are interested in adopting any of these dogs, please fill out an Adoption Application.

Shelter Cross-Listings

Kira

Kira is a sweet, beautiful baby girl, rescued with her siblings and her mama from the streets of Russia. Mama is a shepherd mix, and Dad (we are told) is a champion husky who is allowed to breed with street dogs in the area.  The puppies are usually killed or poisoned, but we saved this litter just in time! Kira is a only a baby. Good with other dogs and people. Extremely sweet and curious. Loves to be cuddled. As any puppy, Kira will need housetraining and leash training.  She is up to date on all vaccinations and will come with a passport, documenting vaccination. KIRA WILL HAVE TO BE 6 MONTHS OLD AT THE TIME OF ENTRY TO THE US. She will be ready to travel  in May.

**Please note: This is a courtesy cross-post for a rescue in Danvers MA. She is in Russia and is ready to travel in May when she is 6 months old. Scrappy Doo

Scrappy Doo! I am a sweet younger male that is currently with the Animal Control Officer in Newington CT. Unfortunately we don’t know much about me. It seems that I was mostly kept outside and spent a lot of time escaping and running around. I really need some grooming as I am blowing my coat and have not been well cared for. I am very sweet and eager to learn but it doesn’t seem like anyone has taken the time to train me. I really should go to a husky savvy home without small animals. Whoever decides to give me a place in their lives should be ready to provide solid training and guidance and a visit to the vet asap! This is a cross post courtesy of PSHR. Please contact Officer Monday in Newington CT Animal Contral at 860-594-6250 for adoption information.

Gina

Hi! I'm Gina. My friends that care for me in Russia describe me as sweet, kind and human-oriented. I am very independent and will ignore my people when they first recall me, for an extra lap around the yard. I am very playful, but I can be calm too, loving to be petted! I am good with kids(preferably 10 years old or over), good with other dogs and I have been around cats. But because I am part Husky, cats could always be a temptation. I love to be walked and am very good on my leash. My ideal home will have a secure fenced yard however, because I have mastered the ability to climb and I can climb a fence pretty easily, so a minimum 6 foot fence is strongly suggested. I have a twin sister, Dolly. Our main difference in appearance is that Dolly's ears stand straight, but mine fold over a little bit at the tips. If you have room in your heart for me in your life, I would love to be a part of it and come to my new forever home! **Please note: This is a courtesy cross-post for a rescue in Danvers MA. She is in Russia and is ready to travel once a suitable home is found and approved for her. An application will be needed through the rescue in Danvers. https://biglittleliferescue.org/adoption-application/ They will be handling all of the travel and they have a fee set for her that will cover the International transport. The fee is total, around $1200.

Dolly

Hi! I'm Dolly. My friends that care for me in Russia describe me as sweet, kind and human-oriented. I am obedient and when I wander and am told to come back, I do come back. I am very playful, but I can be calm too, loving to be petted! I am good with kids(preferably 10 years old or over), good with other dogs and I have been around cats. But because I am part Husky, cats could always be a temptation. I love to be walked and am very good on my leash. However, my friends have been able to have me off-leash and I will always keep them in sight and not stray from them. I am a very curious girl and I will look under the door so that I can eavesdrop on what is going on in another room. My ideal home will have a secure fenced yard however, because I have mastered the ability to climb and I can climb a fence pretty easily, so a minimum 6 foot fence is strongly suggested. I have a twin sister, Gina. Our main difference in appearance is that my ears stand straight, but Gina's fold over a little bit at the tips.
