Winter Husky Hike

Mount Wachusett, Princeton, Massachusetts
February 2007

It was the perfect day for a Husky Hike! The first Winter one. The air was a perfect 30 degrees, little wind and lots of Sun! Ron, his daughter Cassie and their dog Dief; Ken, Maria an their dogs Skylar and Juneau and Steve and his dog Bosco started the hike off with a lot of play. It's been a few months since the pack saw each other and everyone had fun watching them wrestle.

Everyone met at Mount Wachusett in Princeton Mass. The hike went along Balance Rock Road, Balance Rock trail, Old Bolton trail and the Pine Loop. Hiking in snow was challenging. Fortunately, the snow was pretty well packed making the hike a good excercise. The dogs were on good behavior often breaking into play when everyone took a breather or two. The pictures were taken atop the frozen Bolton Pond. As you can see, a white husky in the bright white snow is hard to see. The pack did well and at the end of the hike were still in play mode. No better way to enjoy the crisp clean air on a winter's day!
