The Adoption Process

Referral Program

Due to our limited resources at this time most of our work is done through referrals, matching people looking for dogs with people needing to place dogs.

Those who participate in this program do so with the understanding that we are unable to investigate either party. Once we send information about dogs to potential adopters it is up to you to contact the current owners, who will then interview you.

There is no fee for any dog in the referral program, and all arrangements for transfer of ownership are between the current and new owners.

Rescue Program

We usually have a limited number of dogs that we have rescued and placed in temporary foster homes. These dogs have been checked for good health and temperament and have been neutered. The adoption fee for these dogs, which goes towards expenses such as spay/neuter costs, food, shots & advertising, is $250. A home visit may be required prior to completing the adoption process.

How to Adopt

If you are interested in adopting you must fill out an adoption application and return it to us. Once the form is received a Rescue Coordinator will conduct a telephone interview. If you are approved for adoption we will then send you a list of available dogs and how to contact their owners.

Before applying, we ask that you read the section of this website called About Siberians so that you completely understand the nature and personality of these beautiful dogs!
